A positive diagnosis for HIV in 2005 became the starting point of a life changing experience. It became one of my best missions in life, the professional experience in communications, marketing and video productions became an essential asset for what was going to happen after the diagnosis. What happened next, surprisingly unexpected.
Published a book on 2010 “La VIDA con SIDA”, became a Motivational Speaker in English and Spanish, Columnist, Blogger, VIHsible Person, Youtuber and much more.
Awarded a Congressional Recognition in USA as a Community Leader for Immigrants, LGBTIQ+ communities and HIV Activism, and a recognition from the City of Miami Dade as a Community Leader. I turned my diagnosis from being a stigmatized virus to becoming my best ally in helping others.
I’m proud to be the Operations Director for Arianna’s Center where we can provide services for diverse populations, empower, engage, and lift up our Transgender Communities. I believe that within the life we have been granted, nothing is impossible, if we can dream, breathe, and embrace the wonders we can do. We might find obstacles in life, but it’s our choice to run or learn from them.
